Put on your creative-thinking caps because when it comes to animal welfare and lifesaving, it pays to be innovative. Literally. Especially for those who attended the Humane Society of the United States Animal Care Expo Conference!

How so? Maddie’s Fund® is offering $250,000 in grant funding for shelters and rescue groups, appropriately called the Innovation Grant. If you attended the 2016 Expo, you could receive up to $5,000 to implement a new program to advance your organization’s lifesaving.

You may not be able to hurry love, but you’ll need to hurry innovation, because the application deadline is June 30, 2016. Applications will be accepted for 18 different categories, including:

  • Adopters Welcome
  • Progressive Technology/Data/Metrics
  • Progressive Marketing and PR
  • Engaging the Public
  • Innovative, Creative and Sustainable Leadership
  • Keeping Pets in their Homes
  • And many more!

“What are you waiting for?” (said every animal in your organization).  See the full list of categories, eligibility requirements and apply here!

Didn’t attend the HSUS Expo? Don’t fret! Join the Maddie Network to be the first to know about new grant opportunities,  innovative ideas for pet fostering, adoption, shelter medicine and stories about how pets make our lives better and happier.
