Over the years, there have been some big celebrities who lent their support to the cause of pet adoption.

Never has there been one bigger than Garfield. (Must be all that lasagna.)

He filmed a few PSAs for our funded Shelter Pet Project, featuring real-life pets up for adoption. He even sat down — er, curled up? — for a Twitter chat encouraging his fans to “Adopt already!”

So, now do you love Garfield even more than you already did?
