The 2017 conference season has been a success so far, and we’re not finished yet. Next up is the American Pets Alive! (AmPA!) conference in Austin, Tex., on September 23-25, 2017. We’re proud to be a sponsor, and hope you’ll join us to learn how to achieve and maintain no-kill status in your community through the sharing strategies and programs that will save more animals.

The conference brings together no-kill leaders and animal welfare experts from around the world, and the tactics taught in the conference are based on proven, real-world experience that is designed to be immediate, affordable and actionable.

“Tactics learned at the conference can be immediately implemented by attendees and will have positive impact for the animals in their care,” explained Victoria Brooks, program manager. “American Pets Alive! focuses on harder to adopt animals and specific challenges that shelter leadership, rescues and volunteers face every day.”

You’ll learn about topics such as:

  • Ringworm and mange
  • FeLV, FIV, parvo puppies
  • Behavioral challenges
  • Space crises
  • Disease outbreaks
  • How to keep adopted animals in their homes/find shelter alternatives
  • Marketing campaigns and social media outreach
  • Tours of Austin Pets Alive! and Austin Animal Center lifesaving programs
