Applications are now being accepted for a competitive and hands-on Maddie’s® Apprenticeship Program in Puerto Rico. This opportunity is open to licensed veterinary techniciansveterinary/medical assistants and other paraprofessionals at animal welfare organizations who are interested in gaining training and experience with highquality, high-volume spay/neuter (HQHVSN) in a field setting. 

This apprenticeship will be held over nine days during Maddie’s® Spayathon4PR HQHVSN Apprenticeship with the Maddie’s® Shelter Medicine Program at Cornell University. 

While there will be some online and remote training prior to the field clinic, this is a very interactive and intensive apprenticeship! Apprentices will assist and be directly supervised by experienced licensed veterinary technicians and shelter veterinarians in all of their roles.
