The registration deadline for the No Place Like Home Challenge has been extended to Monday, January 18th at 5pm (PST)! If you haven’t registered yet, what are you waiting for?

Ten national organizations have come together to make this the most impactful challenge yet. Centered around Return to Home (traditionally known as “Return to Owner”), this is an opportunity to make Return to Home (RTH) a part of your culture. What’s more, $150,000 in grant prizes is available.

One of the most effective ways to increase your RTH rate is to get your community involved. What should someone do if they find a dog? What if someone loses their dog? Will they know what to do? It’s important to empower your community to get involved and to make this information easy to find. You’ll find plenty of ways to increase community engagement and more on our resources page.

You can start preparing now for the Challenge with Let’s Get Them Home Best Friends Town Hall, today at 3pm PST (6p EST). You’ll hear from three national experts including Gina Knepp, National Shelter Engagement Director with Michelson Found Animals, on proactive ways to get pets back to their families.

In addition to grant prizes, two organizations are offering additional incentives. The Association for Animal Welfare Advancement will award up to 15 individual annual memberships and 50 organizations will be chosen to win a FREE registration for The Association’s next virtual conference. Adoptimize is offering free access to their services for an entire year to any organization participating the Challenge.

The Challenge begins March 1, 2021 and concludes on March 31, 2021.

This challenge is funded by Maddie’s Fund® and Michelson Found Animals Foundation, in collaboration with  Adoptimizethe ASPCAThe Association for Animal Welfare AdvancementBest Friends Animal SocietyHeARTs Speakthe Humane Society of the United StatesNational Animal Care and Control Association and Petco Foundation.
