Our funded project the Million Cat Challenge is halfway to its audacious goal of saving 1 million shelter cats’ lives in five years!

The Challenge, founded in 2014 by Dr. Julie Levy of the Maddie’s Shelter Medicine Program at the University of Florida and Dr. Kate Hurley of the UC Davis Koret Shelter Medicine Program, will cross the 500,000 milestone today, Monday, April 11, 2016, at 3 PM Eastern. You’re invited to join participating shelters, supporters, and animal lovers on the Challenge Facebook page to watch the counter roll over, throw confetti, and congratulate everyone whose hard work and dedication got them this far!

And a big Million Cat congratulations for all of us at Maddie’s Fund — we’re so glad we were able to support this project as part of our life-saving mission!
