Remember last year when we took a page out of REI’s handbook and asked: What if, instead of battling the madness at the mall this year, you spent the day after Thanksgiving with the ones who warm your soul? It seems we struck a chord, as hundreds of thousands of people across America eagerly vowed to skip the lines on Black Friday and instead, celebrate the first #PetFriday with us.

And guess what? It’s baaaaaack! Because if a day dedicated to spending quality time with our best friends was relevant at all last year, add in the negativity from election season and we think it becomes absolutely necessary this year! (Are we right or are we right?)

As you showed us through your fabulous photos, there is no right or wrong way to celebrate. So whether you #OptOutside or #OptInside makes no difference to us! Just spend time with your furry family members and soak up the joy that a crowded store could never provide. Take a walk, go on a road trip, read a book or just do nothing and do it together!
