- APA! Neonatal kitten nursery and foster program
- Muttville Hospice and Foster
- Charleston Robust Dog and Cat Foster
- St. Hubert’s Volunteer Management
- Austin Animal Services Medium and Large Adult Dog fosters
Rory Adams-Cheatham, Education Specialist for Maddie’s Fund®, was fortunate enough to connect with past apprentices in person at the HSUS Expo earlier this month. “It was amazing to meet people who have gone through some of the programs as students,” he said. “It was touching to have so many people share with me personally that they already began to implement these programs and save more lives!”
Students mentioned that they were re-inspired when they returned home and that this was the best training they have ever experienced in animal welfare. They also shared the details of volunteer programs they are growing, the kittens they have begun saving, the medium and large adult dogs who now are in foster care and the barn cats their communities have never before saved.
“I was able to connect and hear stories about the successful programs they are starting in their communities. I spend a lot of my time behind the scenes and to meet the people who this program has touched was incredible.”
