Probiotics may help orphaned kittens suffering from diarrhea. But how do you get the probiotics into the kitten?

Orphaned kittens frequently have digestive problems, including diarrhea. This can be caused by a number of factors including stress, infection and dietary change.

Giving probiotics may help prevent or reduce the severity of diarrhea, but getting them into the kitten can be difficult.

In this short how-to video, Dr. Laurie Peek of the Maddie’s Fund® Executive Leadership Team shares tips to help caregivers know which probiotic formula to use, how much to give and how to give the probiotics correctly.

This is a great video to share with your shelter or rescue organization’s kitten foster homes, too!
