We’ll be welcoming Dr. Ellen Jefferson of Austin Pets Alive!, who has set up an innovative kitten nursery modeled on wildlife programs. She’ll be joined by veterinary technician Heidi Beyer, who has been caring for and raising orphaned kittens for over 20 years. Dr. Jefferson will walk you through nursery care and foster-based care, and Heidi will help foster caregivers with practical tips for orphaned kitten care.
Attendees of the live webcast will have a chance to submit questions, and will also be entered in a door prize drawing for one of ten SnuggleKittiesTM, which acts as a “virtual mom” with a heartbeat and heat to comfort your orphaned kittens!
