Google wants your website to be mobile-friendly — and they have tools to help.

Bigstock-Black-Cat-Looking-To-You-With--61539554Websites, including those of animal shelters and rescue groups, have until April 21 to meet basic standards for mobile-friendliness, or Google will start downgrading those sites in its search results.

Because Google is the first place many people go when searching for a pet, and around half those people are searching on a mobile device, making sure your site makes the grade is crucial.

The good news is Google has a fast, free online tool where you can check your site!

Just visit this link, enter your site's URL, and you'll get a report on how well the site meets Google's standards for mobile access. They'll also give you easy steps to fix any problems they find, whether your site was built on platforms like WordPress or Joomla, designed by someone else, or built by you.
