It will be a dark and stormy night before Elizabeth Doyle forgets how she got her start in creative writing. Many years ago, after having her romantic manuscript pulled from a “slush pile” at Random House during somebody’s coffee break, prompting a phone call that she suspected at first was a prank, she soon had seven books published in three different languages.
Today, she’s the senior creative copywriter for Best Friends Animal Society, and is responsible for writing and overseeing the writing of the fundraising materials, stewardship materials, marketing materials and more. At the 2015 Best Friends Conference, she shared her secrets in her presentation, “Why Creative Writing is Essential to Saving Lives.”
Now you can benefit from her post-slush pile years to help animals, too! Just click on the link above, then take a quiz for a certificate of completion!
