East Coasters, rejoice! Thanks to the addition of the MaddieCam at St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center, located in New Jersey, we’re now streaming live from every time zone in the country – including yours.
Like most of the organizations streaming on MaddieCam, St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center is not your typical animal welfare group. Founded in 1939, they have three locations (with a fourth opening this year), and a variety of community services that provides viewers with an array of scheduled programming to choose from throughout the week. Among the community services offered are pet adoption, humane education, a pet food pantry, low-cost spay/neuter of community cats, a pet helpline, and a professional education series.
Interested in training and behavior? Their nationally renowned Training and Behavior Center offers specialized training classes and behavior consultations. You can tune in to watch a variety of training classes live each Monday from 10 AM-3 PM Eastern Time. Their Madison facility also houses the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) Behavioral Rehabilitation Center, a ground-breaking behavior program for dogs who are victims of puppy mills, hoarding, or other abuse.
Perhaps surgery piques your interest? You can catch lifesaving procedures live each Thursday from 9-11 AM Eastern Time. (Don’t forget, you can also view surgeries on the Oregon Humane Society feed every Monday-Friday!)
Of course, there’s nothing wrong with wanting to see adorable, available animals! There’s plenty of that, too. Throughout the rest of the week you’ll find a rotation of their small animal room and community cat room. Just consider yourself warned of cuteness overload!
