In just a few days, on April 30, it will be National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day! And if that’s not exciting enough, we’re going to jump in the time machine and take you back to last year at this time, when the Shelter Pet Project released the very first video in its “no holiday left behind” pet adoption campaign, Social Paws!

In this video, and all of them, real-life shelter and rescue pets went into the Meme Machine in the Social Paws Laboratory and created their own social graphics and videos to get their friends still in shelters adopted. #OMG it was #amazeballs!

In this video, Logan used the Meme Machine to make a serious request: Adopt more shelter pets!

So, we’re just joking, right? The pets didn’t actually create their own posts? Actually…. they did! And had a heck of a lot of fun doing it!
