We all know that police departments have K-9 officers, but why should dogs get all the glory?
That’s no longer the case at one Chicago precinct. Gizmo the cat recently became part of the department’s community outreach program. The 8-year-old was living on easy street with his police family, but now he has a job after an elementary student wondered during a K-9 visit why there were no police cats.
He’s now known as Pawfficer Gizmo, the first ever recruit in the CPD Meownted Unit as part of the Community Outreach Program.
Welcome, Gizmo. We hope you have a great week!
