Million cat challenge one idea

We can’t think of a better way to kick off the weekend than by celebrating the new Million Cat Challenge milestone! The campaign, originally launched to save the lives of one million shelter cats in North America, announced today that participating animal shelters have DOUBLED that original goal. You read that right – that means two million cats have been saved!

Maddie’s Fund® has been a proud supporter of this historic campaign from the very beginning. “This year marks the 25th anniversary of Maddie’s Fund, and it’s particularly meaningful to us that this is also the year the Million Cat Challenge has saved two million cats,” said Mary Ippoliti-Smith, Maddie’s Fund Executive Leadership Team member.

The Million Cat Challenge invites participating shelters, supporters, and cat lovers everywhere to visit their Facebook page on Friday, July 26, at 5:45 p.m. Eastern Time to join them in a video watch party celebrating the 2 million milestone. Joining in the fun will be Animal Planet’s Jackson Galaxy, iAmMoshow the Cat Rapper, the Kitten Lady, and Internet cat sensation Smush.

Please join us in congratulating the 1,500 participating shelters on their incredible work for #allthecats.
