If you work in animal welfare in California, you won’t want to miss the Animal Care Conference in Long Beach, presented by CalAnimals (the California Animal Welfare Association). Taking place March 22-24, (with workshops on March 21), the ACC brings together those that work in California’s shelters. Connect with other shelter professionals on issues and experience unique to California, network and learn from one another.
There will be five learning tracks:
- Behavior & Training
- Law Enforcement & Field Services
- Shelter Medicine
- Sheltering & Outreach
- Leadership
More than 35 sessions will provide shelter-specific training, will expose you to new theories and best management practices, or expand your understanding of animal behavior and veterinary medical treatment.
Animal control officers, humane officers, animal care attendants, behaviorists, humane educators, shelter directors, veterinarians, RVTS, customer service representatives, all law enforcement personnel are all welcome to attend!
You can get a head start on your learning by enrolling in Maddie’s® University and taking a course approved for CAWA continuing education.
