Join us on Wednesday, October 20 from 12pm PT / 3pm ET for an open, informal 30-minute conversation and Q+A with Allison Cardona, Deputy Director of Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control.

In this discussion with Maddie’s Fund Executive Leadership Team member Mary Ippoliti-Smith, Allison speaks of overcoming her own experiences with systemic bias and what she sees as initial steps we can take to widen diversity, equity and inclusion in our field while strengthening the human-animal bond.

Allison oversees two full-service animal care centers, a communications center, adoptions, behavior and enrichment and volunteer programs. Allison also serves as liaison to the county’s homeless initiative, ensuring that people experiencing homelessness have options and resources for their pets. Throughout her career, Allison has championed keeping pets and people together by advocating for the inclusion of pets in human services.

Register now and afterwards, continue the conversation with the Allison on Maddie’s® Pet Forum.
