The Open Arms Challenge starts today!
Today kicks off our Open Arms Challenge, where hundreds of organizations across the country will create more accessible and inclusive practices at their organization. For the next six weeks, participants will pilot new approaches that open doors to new adopters and volunteers and welcome your entire community. Research about resource guarding has demonstrated that many dogs who guard resources can be safely placed into homes in our community. How does the research match your experiences? Register your shelter for a free volunteer program assessment!
It’s that time again—the folks behind the Volunteer Program Assessment (VPA) are offering their amazing service to shelters at no cost! But hurry, applicants will be considered on a first come, first served basis. VPA is for shelters with a brick and mortar location and at least 30 volunteers; not rescue organizations at this time.
