As we wrap up 2021 and plan how to keep more people and pets together in 2022, Maddie’s Fund® will be distributing several surveys over the next few months. We’d appreciate your help!

The purpose of these surveys is to gain understanding of policies and practices so that people in our industry can: identify support the shelters need and provide that support, develop resources to meet needs, establish baseline or track progress of our efforts and provide data for upcoming presentations.

Of course, more participation means better data and more accurate results. That’s where you come in! If you’re on our mailing list (and if you’re not, sign up!), you can expect four surveys staggered over the next few months (through February 2022). We’re giving you a heads up so you don’t think we’re sending you the same one each time, and you can know what to expect.

The surveys will cover the following topics and audiences:

  • Internal foster pleas (for volunteer/foster coordinators)
  • Marketing efforts (for marketing folks)
  • Behavior programs/supports (for behavior people or shelter managers)
  • Behavior staffing and duties (for shelter managers)

All surveys are anonymous and will be open for two weeks at a time. We’ll ask for ONE person from each organization to complete it. The results of the surveys will be shared so that everyone can use them. Help us use research to keep even more people and pets together!

If your organization hasn’t already done so, please take this survey on resource guarding!
