Animal shelters and foster-based organizations across the country are navigating rehoming questions every day, and there is very little field-wide data to draw from. That is what the Rehoming Survey is designed to change. The deadline to take the survey has been extended to June 11!
Home To Home is collecting responses from the animal welfare community to better understand how the field currently thinks about and uses rehoming programs. Whether your organization actively promotes rehoming, refers people to outside platforms, or takes a different approach entirely, your perspective and experience are valuable.
The survey takes less than two minutes to complete and asks about your organization’s current practices, what you have observed in terms of intake and capacity, and how you think various groups in the field view rehoming as an option. There are no right or wrong answers. We are looking for an accurate picture of where the field actually stands, not where anyone thinks it should be.
The more organizations that participate, the more useful the data will be for everyone. Please take a moment to share your experience by the end of day tomorrow, June 11!
