Through our webcasts, articles, newsletter, and now, this blog, we bring cutting edge shelter medicine information from universities and animal welfare leaders to shelter veterinarians, managers and staff as well as private practice veterinarians, rescue groups and community members to increase lifesaving of homeless dogs and cats community-wide.
Here on the blog, we’ll be sharing new and classic research that relates to animal sheltering, information about our upcoming webcasts, announcements of shelter medicine and behavior seminars and conferences, and other resources to help with that mission.
The inspiration for that mission was a little dog named Maddie, who shared her unconditional love with her human family. They promised her they would honor that love by founding Maddie’s Fund and helping make this country a safe and loving place for all of her kind.
