Talk about a simple way to raise some money.

Lauren Kennedy, President of the Board of Directors at the Humane Society Waterville Area, decided to hold a fundraiser by taking photos of dogs and cats. She wanted to pay tribute to one of her own cats, who she lost suddenly in a tragic accident.

For a recommended fee of $40, members of the community could bring their pets in for professional photos. In all, $735 was raised, according to WABI.

We think this is a great idea that just about any organization can pull off!
